Meet the Team
Marion H. Biglan, Co-Founder
Marion H. Biglan, PCC, brings more than twenty years of experience leading teams and partnering with managers and organizations to be more effective in fulfilling their missions.
After graduating with a history degree from Southern Methodist University, Marion started her career as a 5th grade teacher through Teach For America in rural Louisiana, then became the founding executive director of Teach For America’s Chicago site. Marion went on to help found Teach For America’s Human Assets team, where she spent almost ten years building and ultimately leading the Business Partner team. In 2015 Marion launched her business, MHBiglan Consulting, now called Illuminate Collective, and has partnered as a coach and consultant to leaders and organizations such as national non-profits, arts organizations, and school districts.
Marion holds a Professional Coach Certification (PCC) from the International Coach Federation and a Professional Diversity Coach Certification (PCDC) from the Coach Diversity Institute. She is a trained facilitator of the Immunity to Change program and is on the leadership team of the international women’s leadership organization Tide Risers.
Marion is a proud resident of Cheltenham Township outside of Philadelphia, where she continues her journey to live and foster racial justice. She is the co-founder of a network of women who come together to build deeper relationships across race called Women In Community.
Marion serves as a board member of the Cheltenham School District Foundation and the Friends of Bache-Martin School and advises MBA students through the Temple University Fox School of Business advising program.
Miwa Kamras, Co-Founder
Miwa Kamras is passionate about building relationships, cultivating community, and coaching and developing leaders to achieve their purpose. She brings more than twenty years of experience as a teacher, non-profit executive, and human capital partner to her work as a coach and consultant in the education and non-profit sectors. Throughout her career, Miwa has partnered with a range of mission driven leaders and organizations to build more inclusive and impactful teams.
Miwa’s experience as an elementary school teacher in the DC Public Schools and Atlanta Public Schools deeply informs her work. Inspired by her time in the classroom, she spent fourteen years developing and leading teams at Teach For America, including serving as the Executive Director of Teach For America DC and a Senior Managing Director on the Human Assets team. Miwa’s coaching and partnership with executive directors and leadership teams at Teach For America led her to start her own coaching and consulting business in 2015, with a focus on leadership development, talent strategy, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Miwa holds an A.B. from Harvard University and an Ed.M. from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. She is a Certified Professional Diversity Coach through CoachDiversity Institute. Miwa serves as a Richmond Young Writers board member and a Voices of Jubilee volunteer. She lives in Richmond, VA with her husband, sons, and rescue dog and can always be counted on for a great children’s book recommendation.
Natalie Basham, Partner
Natalie Basham has led as a teacher, counselor, school leader, nonprofit board member, and volunteer. She began her career as a teacher in rural Missouri before working as a teacher in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Then as Founding Principal, Natalie designed and managed a team of volunteer students and parents to recruit over 300 middle-school students to enroll and graduate from one of the first dual language STEM middle and high schools in south Texas. Her experiences designing and launching a school cultivated her interest in talent management and culture practices that lead to diverse teams that achieve high performance and sustain it. After several years as an educator, Natalie made a career transition to Human Resources as a Business Partner providing talent management and planning consulting and advice to executive directors and their direct reports.
Now, in addition to partnering with Illuminate Collective as a coach and facilitator, Natalie founded N.O.V.A. Services LLC, a consulting firm providing third-party ombuds support, grievance responses and investigation, conflict mediation, and restorative dialogues. N.O.V.A. Services partners to address immediate, time-sensitive needs as well as build the capacity of people and teams to sustain change and engage in healthy conflict with confidence and compassion after they engage with N.OV.A. Services. Natalie earned certifications in Social Justice Mediation, SHRM-CP, and Somatic Coaching. She is a member of the Texas Association of Mediators, the International Ombuds Association, HR Houston, SHRM, and BNI. When she is not building and strengthening bridges between people and within teams, she enjoys time with her family and the outdoors.
